Orthogenesis Trivia: Ayden's Painting
The poster painting of Ayden Lee (actress Joni Pierce) was chosen by the writers for inclusion in Orthogenesis even before the story outline was finished. Moody, beautiful, and poignant, the image became the basis for Ayden's fictional script vocation as an artist.
Originally created as a black and white photograph of the actress by director Berg in 2001, the image was reproduced on canvas in colored oils by Ms. Pierce, who is an artist in real life. Her contributions to the film also include young Ayden's painted Mother's Day gift.
